PROXY
BID INSTRUCTIONS
Dear Prospective Buyer,
Thank you for your interest in purchasing items via
proxy bid at one of our auctions.
Please read over the following instructions carefully.
Definition: A Proxy Bid
is an absentee bid on a purchase for which one of our auction staff will bid
favorably for you in your place. Your
bid will go through the standard bidding process. Our auction representative
will go up to, but no higher than your top bid, trying of course, to purchase
the item(s) for less than your maximum bid if possible.
How to Proxy Bid:
1. Fill out
the attached Proxy Bid Form completely.
Machine Description: Fill out as shown in bold print in the Auction
Brochure including the Serial No. if available.
Lot #’s: It is required that we have a Lot # for each item to be bid on. These
are found in the Auction Catalog which is available on our website or at
inspection. This is different from the
Auction brochures which are distributed by mail. If you need assistance in obtaining a Lot # for an item, call our
office.
Bid Amount: This should be your maximum bid.
Buyer’s Premium: If there is a Buyer’s Premium in effect for the sale, you will need to
specify whether or not your bid includes the Buyer’s Premium charge.
2.
A Deposit of 25% of your total bid(s) is
required by the day of the sale to hold your bid. Your deposit check will not be deposited unless you win the
bid. Deposit checks for unsuccessful
bidders will be returned the day after the sale.
